Ski in Spain

We went skiing in Spain during the first week of the holidays and I went from my second star to my third star, YAY! The 1st star is snow ploughing from side to side, the 2nd is jumping from snow plough into parallel when you turn and the 3rd star is just normal parallel. I'm better than my mummy now!

We skied at the biggest ski station in Spain/the Pyrenees, it's called Baquiera. It has over one hundred kilometers of slopes, although only 72 were open. We could only ski the blues with Felix and Nessy, so we only did one third of what as open.

It is very beautiful with the mountains on all sides and the river snaking through the slate roofed villages. But there are way to many power lines, although they need them to create the artificial snow, which was actually very good quality.

We stayed at a Paradores hotel which was supposed to be four stars, but they only had TV shows in Spanish so we watched Avatar in Spanish! I didn't understand a thing! Thankfully though, the hotel had a pool that was really warm! We went swimming every night.

On the last night we went to a wonderful place (that we called the corn house) and then to an Italian place that had a beautiful high roof like a barn. It also had stone walls and it was the best night had there.

I'll get photos soon, but we have lost the cord attach the camera to the computer, of course!

School

I started school on the 7th of January, (I know, really early!) and the first day was really confusing and I felt very confused. I met my friends Giulia, Melina, Julie, Maeva and Maylis and they were nice but Giulia and Melina had changed so much that I didn't even recognise them! Julie still had her hair long past her bottom!

I find Maths, Art, and English really easy. but French is hard because we are studying some really old but famous authors like Montesquieu and Moliere and stuff. Science is also hard because all the words are different. The word for oxgen is dioxygene and nitrogen is argon. Its really confusing! I got all the questions right for maths but we have to right out the rules and it is like righting out an experiment in Science! Got 20/20 for art but our teacher is really bad so that doesn't mean much. 20/20 for English too, duh.

We had six weeks of school and then two weeks of holidays, then 6 weeks of school, then 2 weeks of holidays, then 8 weeks of school, then 8 weeks of holidays! YAY!

The Last Two Months

Hi everyone!

I'm just going to quickly sum up what has happened in the last two months that we've been here in Seix. I would have sooner but the computer was broken.

We had three weeks holidays before we started school and we spent four days in the top of the Loire valley with my auntie Virginie. We then went to the centre of Paris for four days and visited the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Science

Museum, the Champs Elysees (which is supposedly the most beautiful street in the world) and the old Opera or Palais Garnier which dates from the 1800s and is gorgeous.

We then went for a Christmas dinner to the outskirts of Paris to my auntie Anne. While we were there we also took the Batobus up the Seine to Notre Dame. We also went to see The Northern Lights which I found really bad.

We then took our baggage to Normandy to a beautiful 400 year old house. While we were there we went to the Mont-Saint Michel which was known for it's tides. The sea would rush in faster than

a galloping horse and many people got caught on the sand and drowned but the sand has risen so much that doesn't happen as much. They are starting to remove the sand.

We decided to go for a walk o

n the sands and got caught in the quick-mud out on the dunes.

After normandy our last stop was the bottom of the Loire

valley with my second cousins. That was very relaxing in the countryside and we went n plenty of little walks.

That was the end of our

three week holiday! We then had an exhausting eight hour drive to Seix and we arrived on the 5th of January to start on the 7th.
